7th Annual General Meeting in Dubai, UAE

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines, IECEP-UAE Chapter had successfully hosted its 7th Annual General Membership Meeting last November 27, 2015 in Fraser Suites Dubai, UAE. The said event set a new record breaking number of 102 participants, composed of PECE, ECE, ECT, Associates members and non-members across the Emirates.

The main program of the AGM was the provision of 2 Technical Seminars given by Resource Speaker, Engr Randy Domingo, ECE on “TCP/IP Network Analysis and Troubleshooting” followed by a topic on “Introduction to Software-Defined Networking (SDN)” with In-house Resource Speaker Engr Ronald Esguerra, ECE. As the organization envisions for world-class competent and globally-competitive electronics professionals, it has been consistent on its objective to maintain, improve and broaden the knowledge and skills and develop the personal qualities of its professional members through CPD accredited programs.

The oath-taking of the 13 successful Special Professional Licensure Board Exam (SPLBE) board passers for the Electronics Engineers (ECE) and Electronics Technician (ECT) was also held in conjunction of the event.  They were administered by the Honorable Consul General Paul Reymund Cortes of Philippine Consulate, Dubai.



It is accustomed that Election for the next year’s Officers and Board of Directors happens on every last quarter of the year. Thus, IECEP-UAE took advantage of this opportunity and was able to distinguish the 16 newly elected Board of Directors consisting of 8 members from Abu Dhabi and 8 from Dubai and Northern Emirates who will take the leadership for the year 2016, with Engr Carlo Amigable, PECE, Immediate Past President as the Chairman of the Comelec.

Indeed, it was a productive day for all of the gratified participants especially to the newly registered members who have been an instrumental on the success of the organization leading to its 7th year since its inception. To God Be the Glory!
